[Pork-free] Allo, the weekend is for waffles! A few months back, we checked out ALLO by the Owls Cafe in AMI Suites, Mont Kiara.
If you’re familiar with the Owls Cafe franchise, you’ll know that the waffles are among the more popular and decent ones in town.
The Rebecca Waffles (RM28) here is on par with the ones we’ve eaten at the other branches – freshly made waffles with a nice crispy crust and soft insides.
The topping of berries, blueberries, and bananas makes it a “healthier” option but is wonderfully complemented by coconut and almond flakes. We like the Earl grey ice-cream here as it has enough tea fragrance and not is cloyingly sweet.
However, service though was a bit slow when we were here. Understandably, it was 8 pm and it takes time to make these fresh waffles – but some updates by the waiting staff would have been appreciated.
