Bobby’s Burger TRX
[Pork-free] Bobby’s Burger at The Exchange TRX is the newest burger spots in Kuala Lumpur, founded by internet personality Bobby Saputra – often known online as the “billionaire son.” Naturally, we were curious to see if the food lives up to the hype.
Located on the ground floor of TRX, Bobby’s Burger stands out with its straightforward concept: a focused menu, quick service, and a more down-to-earth, blue-collar vibe – quite a contrast to the flashy persona seen on social media.
A Simple, Focused Menu
One thing we immediately appreciated is the simplicity of the menu.
Bobby’s Burger keeps things tight, offering essentially one main item – the Double Angus Patty Burger (RM24) – with the option to upgrade to a set with fries and a drink.
We went for the Package Deal (RM30), which comes with the Double Burger and a side of tallow fries.
The Double Angus Patty Burger
For RM24, the burger delivers on the essentials. The smashed beef patties are well-seasoned and retain a good amount of juiciness, making for a satisfying bite.
While we would have preferred slightly more char on the edges for added texture and depth, the burger still holds up well. Inside, you’ll find onions, pickles, cheese, and Bobby’s signature “Billionaire Sauce,” which ties everything together nicely.
It may look simple at first glance, but it checks all the boxes for a solid smash burger.
Tallow Fries Done Right
The Tallow Fries are cooked in 100% beef tallow (rendered beef fat), giving them a distinct richness. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt.
Simple, but very well executed.
Value for Money
At RM24, Bobby’s Burger is notably more affordable than some of the bigger burger chains in KL, including Shake Shack.
For the quality and portion, we found it to be good value—especially given its prime location in TRX.
