[Muslim-friendly] Hey, it’s British fish and chips!

We returned to Cor Blimey! for some authentic British fish and chips. 
Founded by Hampshire-bred Adam, Cor Blimey! uses only Halal ingredients and serves no alcohol or pork.

Max opted for the Alaskan Pollock (RM32.90) – which comprises two huge chunks of fish in lemon and herbs batter.

Ming reeled in the Ocean Perch (RM26.90) in onion and garlic batter.

We found that pollock to be firmer with a more neutral taste, while the perch is a bit more flaky. We like that they were not oily – so tak jelak after a while. And the chips were super chunky with a nice crisp exterior and a soft middle. 

Other fish options include cod, halibut, snapper and dory; and batter includes chilli lemon, “malt” and curry. 

Available sides include mushy peas (of course!), coleslaw, mash, garden peas and baked beans. The homemade Lemonade (RM11.90) here is super refreshing!
