Flaky Ara Damansara
[Pork-free, Lard-free] Flaky in Ara Damansara is the next-gen offshoot of the popular Tai Zi Ta mini egg tarts.
With 30 years of legacy, the folks at Flaky also decided to make it more inclusive by omitting pork and lard from its pastries.
The specialty here are the mini tarts – offered in delightful flavours such as egg, pandan and coconut – with savoury offerings such as tuna as well. On days, you’ll also find chicken siew bao.

Priced at RM1.50 each, it makes economic sense to get a box of 10 for RM12.
True to its name, the pastries were flaky with custard-y centres. Our picks are the traditional egg tart, pandan and chocolate egg tart.
