Gogi Gui Korean BBQ

We tried the Pork BBQ Set 1 (RM118) which comes with three cuts of imported Korean pork (belly, shoulder and jowl) with free CU ramen and steamed eggs.

The meat is pre-cooked about 80% by the Korean owner, before it is finished on a hot plate at our table.

The pork belly and shoulder were choice cuts and cooked with just the right amount of sear – but we did find the jowl slightly too fatty.

Among the banchan, the kimchi and blanched spinach were our top picks.

The Dwaeji Gukbap (RM30) is one of the better ones we’ve eaten in town. The soup has enough pork base which was perfectly enhanced with saeu-jeot (fermented shrimps) and chilli paste for the umami kick. The meat slices were tender as well.
