Hansik Authentic Korean Restaurant
[Non-halal] Hansik Authentic Korean Restaurant might come across as a newbie in the game, but the matriarch-owner has been operating Korean F&B for decades in Malaysia.
In fact, Hansik used to be the former spot for Daorae in Sri Petaling, before the owner decided to build a new business on her own.

Hence, Hansik was born in Oct 2024 – and is the first to offer kimchi omakase in KL.

Hansik in Sri Petaling

We were here to try the Korean BBQ set – which was quite good value for 2 pax for RM138. The set comes with banchan, three cuts of meat of your choice, volcano egg, japchae, pancake and a stew.

We opted for the Kimchi-jjigae and seafood pancake. For meat, we ordered the soy-marinatred pork ribs, pork cheek, and pork belly.

The kimchi here is excellent, and the soy-marinated pork ribs were the best cut. The seafood pancake was just OK and the pork cheek could be more tender.

But the set offers good value for money, and we are intrigued enough to return to try the kimchi omakase.
