[Pork-free] For perfect fluffy pancakes, check out Jam & Kaya Cafe at PJ Palms Sports Centre.
We enjoyed their signature Jam & Kaya’s Pancake (RM17). Pancakes were soft and fluffy – and served with fresh berries and a dollop of vanilla ice-cream on top.
We like that the kaya and fruity jam were not overtly sweet. In fact, the kaya jam has a lighter green hue as they are made from freshly made pandan. The strawberries were not sour too – which is a plus in our books. We literally demolished the pancake stack in 5 minutes!

Other pancakes on the menu include Short Stack (berries with whipped cream), Apple Crumble pancake, Salted Caramel Crunch, and Chocolate Banana.
Australian big breakfast
Fluffy creamy eggs Pancake and coffee
The scrambled eggs as part of the Australian Big Breakfast (RM28.90) was good too – soft, fluffy and creamy. We like that the focaccia bread strips were crispy and not too thick, and the baked beans were slightly smoked.
The six-year old cafe takes up a nice quiet corner within the PJ Palms compound. We went on a Saturday morning – and enjoyed the atmosphere of families enjoying the swimming pool.
