[Non-halal] There’s a new pan mee shop to check out in Subang Jaya!
Jeng Handmade Pan Mee 正板面 is located in the ever-busy commercial centre of SS15.
This new restaurant offers a comfortable dining environment with air-conditioning to enjoy your bowl of piping hot noodles.

Jeng Handmade Pan Mee in Subang

Jeng Handmade Pan Mee offers quite a good variety of pan mee noodles – from the traditional hand-torn noodles, to dry chilli, herbal and tom yam pan mee.
Aside from pan mee,you can also order claypot loh shu fan and yee mee here.
We opted for the weekday lunch set which comes with a free drink for RM13-14.50.
Hometown Pan Mee

The Hometown Pan Mee with pinched noodles was decent. The soup had a good anchovy base with enough sweetness from the sayur manis. It wasn’t too salty as well with just the right hits of flavour from the minced meat and mushrooms. There’s sliced pork and balls for protein.
However, we thought the pinched noodles were just ok as it was a bit thick. We believe the rough noodles would be a better option.
Herbal Pan Mee Soup

We actually much prefered the Herbal Pan Mee here. While the soup looks very similar to the afore-mentioned bowl, there was a nice kick of herbal flavours from dong quai, red dates and goji berries. This was actually quite an enjoyable bowl.

Fried Wantans

The Fried Wantans (RM9) was executed well. It was crispy with a generous filling that’s juicy and flavourful. And the portion was really good for the price.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for a good bowl of pan mee in SS15, you should definitely check out this spot. But we did prefer the thick noodles vs. the pinched noodles.
