Kah Heong Pan Mee 家乡板面 in Puchong
[Non-halal] Kah Heong Pan Mee in Puchong may just be our new favourite spot for the noodle dish.
Our search for the best pan mee in Puchong led us to Kah Heong, located in Taman Wawasan.
We really enjoyed both the dry and soup pan mee here. But will we brave the traffic of Puchong for this bowl of pan mee?
Read on to find out more.
Kah Heong Pan Mee 家乡板面 in Puchong
Ever since our favourite pan mee stall proprietor in SS2 passed the baton to her helpers, we’ve found that the quality had deteriorated.
Our cravings for pan mee had led us to Kak Yati in Section 17 (which was closed on numerous times we tried to visit), while Jing Zhu Pan Mee in Subang Jaya (see our Subang Pan Mee series here) was a wee far from where we were.
Last weekend, we were in Puchong for some errands – and our quick Google search for “best pan mee in Puchong” led us to the doors of Kah Heong.

If you are brave enough to weather the traffic jams of Puchong, Kah Heong is worth the effort. In our view.
The location is humble – Kah Heong operates in a single-storey shoplot in Taman Wawasan.
The early mornings would be a messy affair as the morning market operates on the same street.
But come for lunch at noon on Sunday as we did, and behold – there was an empty table set aside for us to indulge in a bowl of noodles with abandon.
Traditional soup mee with lots of sayur manis
Both the dry and soup noodles tick all the right boxes for us.
Let’s start with the Traditional Hand-pinched Pan Mee in Soup (RM10).
Super umami soup with a strong anchovy base. Lots of sweetness of sayur manis to sweeten the broth. I mean – this was one of the most generous amounts of sayur manis we’ve seen in a bowl.
Noodles had the perfect texture and cooked all the way through.
Crispy fried anchovies. Plenty of mushrooms. No overindulgence of soy sauce.
What an excellent bowl.
Dry pan mee is amazing too!
On to the Dry Pan Mee with an added runny egg (RM10.60).
The thick noodles had the perfect texture. Enough girth, not soft at all. Soy sauce blend was fragrant – not too sweet, savoury or one-dimensional.
Crispy anchovies. Lots of well-marinated minced meat. The runny egg mixed with the noodles gives the extra pizzazz!
Chef’s kiss. Have it with the chilli paste, please.
