Lau Heong Seafood Restaurant in Sentul
[Non-halal] The brief: A reputable Chinese tai chow in Sentul. Must serve good food, and fast enough before our comedy show at 8pm.
The answer: Lau Heong Seafood Restaurant.
Lau Heong Seafood Restaurant
The scene: Arrived at 6pm. Despite a busy Saturday evening, got our food within 15mins.
Belacan Fried Chicken Wings
The report: The Belacan Fried Chicken is nice! The chicken wings were prepared fresh and arrived warm with a nice crispy-crunchy skin.
We liked that the batter wasn’t too salty as they don’t overdo the belacan in the batter. Hence, it had enough umami. The meat was also tender and juicy.
Claypot Fish Fillet Curry
The Claypot Fish Head Curry is another popular dish here. As we don’t usually like fish head, we opted for fish fillet instead. The fish was tender and fresh.
There were plenty of brinjals, lady fingers and long beans to go with the curry.
The curry has enough lemak, and enough rempah. It wasn’t too spicy until want to die. The curry goes really well with rice.
Summary
Our followers on Instagram recommended us to try the Sizzling Prawn and Squid and Sichuan Style Sting Ray. We definitely will return to try these and also the Signature Fried Tofu.
Hopefully, we’ll share more soon on this spot.
P/S: If you have a show to catch at HGH or KLPac, this spot is located nearby.
