[Halal] I was craving for Roasted Duck Rice, friend said: “Let’s go (Viet)Nam!” I’m like “Huh? Apa kena mengena bebek with Vietnamese food?” Turns out Nam is by the same folks behind Kenny Hills Bakers – so the duck rice here is same-same lor..So good ah?

At RM28 – it seems a bit pricey but the portion and quality was good. Duck was tasty – tender, juicy meat with crispy skin. The duck had the right amount of seasoning – enough five spice powder and not too salty. I thought the rice could improve – it was clumpy at parts.The accompanying sweet, savoury and chilli sauces were nice, and the duck rice came with white radish soup.

Friend’s chicken rice (RM28) was pretty good too – the skin was crispy and meat was tender. I concur cause I #cubatrytest also.

So how about the Vietnamese dishes? The Grilled Chicken Bahn Mi (RM24) were authentic with duck liver pate, and chicken slices were tasty. It came with truffle chips – top points for that.

We thought the Crab Banh Xeo (RM30) were ok-ok lah. Crab meat were well-marinated with heaps of taugeh and served  with nuoc cham (dipping sauce made from fish sauce). But we won’t order again.

Otherwise, place was very nice – which to be expected at this part of town. The duck rice warrant a return.
