[Halal] For Nasi Kandar in KL, we checked out Nasi Kalut Jitra Mai.

The location is quite unique – it is situated within an open-air parking area next to GE Mall and opposite Gleneagles KL. 

Price’s good – RM3 for the standard rice with boiled egg. I added RM6 for a big piece of fried chicken leg, RM1 for two bendi, and RM3 for daging hitam (cause, why not?).

So for RM12, I got a super huge packet! Like any proper nasi kandar, rameskan nasi (drench the rice) dengan kuah is a must!

I found the curries to be on the sweeter side – which is typical of Nasi Kandar from Kedah (vs. Penang). So if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll like this nasi kandar.

The chicken leg is tender and tasty with enough rempah taste. The daging hitam is also quite big for RM3 – mine is slightly hard but my friend’s was tender.

Overall, I would say this is a good deal for the portion. Also, the line moves pretty fast (with abang RELA ensuring SOP is followed) and it is especially popular with the lunch crowd here.
