Restoran Hai Feng PJ
[Non-halal] Restoran Hai Feng is a new spot in Seapark PJ offering hand-made fish ball noodles.
Restoran Hai Feng took over the shoplot in between Paramount Kopitiam (see our post here) and Yuen Ting Street Food (see here).
The owner runs a factory which produces the fishballs and fish cakes from “dou fu yee”, which are supplied to restaurants in the Klang Valley.
Made from 100% fresh fish meat, the fish balls here have a nice bouncy texture, with just enough salt for flavour.
Restoran Hai Feng

Operating for only a few months, Restoran Hai Feng currently offers two main dishes on the menu – Fish Ball Noodles (Soup or Dry) and Bitter Gourd Fish Paste Noodles (Soup or Dry) for RM12/14 depending on the size.
We opted for both noodles in the soup version. Hai Feng offers homemade egg noodles for the dry version – which looks enticing when we see it served on the other tables.
Side dishes come in the form of Stuffed Eggplant (RM3), Fish Maw (RM15), and Fried Fish Cake (RM12).
Fish Ball Noodles

Boiled with chicken and pork bones for seven hours, the soup base is light but not tasteless. There’s no addition of seaweed (as in the case for Teochew-style noodles) to colour the soup here.

The Fish Ball Noodles are served with fish balls, fish cakes, fuchuk and fried tofu pok. All the pieces were delicious on its own although we would prefer a tad bit more salt in the paste.
Bitter Gourd Fish Paste Noodles

The Bitter Gourd Fish Paste Noodles were served with a generous amount of bitter gourd – which were not too bitter, and just added a bit of sweet bitterness to the broth.

The fish paste chunks maintained that same bouncy texture as the fish balls.
Conclusion
If you’re looking for clean-tasting fish ball noodles with a good bouncy fish ball texture, Restoran Hai Feng is worth checking out.
