Pork-free] Holy smokes, fudgy brownies galore!
We wanted to break the series of superlatives – but these brownies from SHE Bakes KL are truly divine.
We first received these as a gift from a dear friend to commemorate a milestone for us. It was so good we immediately ordered a box ourselves the week after.
Fudgy goodness
If you like fudgy brownies, these Sea Salt Brownies (RM54 for 6 pieces) are to die for. It is truly one of the best brownies we’ve tried in the Klang Valley.
All the requisite qualities are there – beautiful flaky crust with insides that are decadently dark, moist and gooey.
The gooey texture was such a surprise to us; it only revealed itself when we pulled a piece apart.
We are not fans of cakey, dense brownies (too heavy, too chewy) – so these brownies are perfect for us. The gooey chocolate is soft and velvety (lovely mouthfeel), with dark bittersweet notes.
A touch of sea salt
The sprinkle of Maldon sea salt flakes on top is a piquant touch – providing a hint of textured crunch, and mild briny flavour. All of the above resulted in sweet, salty and bitter taste profiles in a single bite. Delicioso!
