Starbright Coffee serves traditional kopitiam drinks
The uncle (and aunties who were not there that day) used to sell kopi, teh, Milo and Nescafe (as well as Milo + kopi and other permutations) from the cart by the side of the road. They had since moved the cart into the corner shop.
Kopi susu satu!
Our kopi susu was smooth, slightly sweet with a middling bittersweet aftertaste.
The iced coffee was nice on a warm day, but we had preferred it to be more “gao” (stronger coffee taste) with a stronger roasted aroma.
It was nice watching the uncle brew our coffee, and manually frothing the milk – which was added on top of the coffee.

How about salted kopi in Kepong?
If you’re in Kepong, why not check out this unique Salted Kopi Ping? The special concoction begins with coffee beans roasted with NZ butter and Himalayan sea salt. The brewed kopi is then mixed with condensed milk, and evaporated milk stewed with salt and butter.
