Third Serving, KLGCC Mall
[Non-halal] Third Serving represents the next chapter of what longtime diners may remember as Oriental Cravings.
Old-timers may recall Oriental Cravings in One Utama, which was well loved for dishes such as claypot loh shi fun, curry chee cheong fun, and yam cake – before it closed down a few years ago.
These familiar cravings can now be satisfied once again, as original Oriental Cravings co-owner Fay Cheng has reunited with the OG chef to open Third Serving at KLGCC Mall.

Third time’s the charm for Fay, as this marks her third F&B venture. The name is also a tongue-in-cheek nod to going back for a second—or even third—helping when the food is good.
With the original chef back at the wok, Third Serving brings back many familiar favourites, including the crowd-loved claypot loh shi fun, chee cheong fun in pork curry, and curry laksa.
Chinese comfort-style dai chow dishes are also a key focus here, designed for sharing over bowls of fragrant rice with family and friends.
Familiar faces and more
Third time’s the charm for us too – as we finally managed to get a table on our third attempt. The restaurant is consistently full during peak hours, so it’s best to arrive early or be prepared to wait.
The Claypot Loh Shi Fun (RM21.90 with egg) is just as good as we remembered.
While this noodle dish has become more common around the Klang Valley, Third Serving’s version still stands above the rest—silky, slippery noodles tossed in dark soy sauce with plenty of wok hei, topped with crispy pork lard for that unmistakable crunch.
The Hakka Salted Steamed Chicken (RM32.90) pairs perfectly with white rice.
A large L-shaped chicken leg is gently salted and steamed until tender, then finished with ginger paste and a touch of wine for a delicate, aromatic lift.
The Golden Beancurd (RM28.90) is another comfort classic elevated through careful execution. Crisp on the outside and silky within, the beancurd is lightly fried to a golden crust before being finished with savoury soy sauce, minced pork, and preserved vegetables.
Conclusion
The food lives up to our memories of Oriental Cravings, with new menu items that are just as enjoyable. RECOMMENDED.
