Attendant Coffee, London
We love old spaces that have been repurposed into coffee shops, and this Attendant Coffee branch in Fitzrovia is a charm.
While Attendant Coffee has several branches across London, this particular outlet is located underground in a restored Victorian public loo.

A Victorian toilet turned cafe

The space is intimate, and we love that they’ve retained the original tiles and ceramic features from the old restroom, giving the café plenty of character.

It reminded us of Matcha & Espresso Miyano-Yu in Tokyo (see post here) – another memorable café housed in a restored public bathhouse.

In the land of Costa Coffee, we found Attendant to serve one of the better cups of coffee. If we’re paying £4 for a cup of joe, we’d much rather it be a good one.
