Non-halal] We like that Ee Hiong Hakka Yong Tau Foo (YTF) sticks to the traditional Hakka recipe of pork, fish and salted fish for its paste. It’s savoury and salty, with a nice bouncy texture.
At RM2.50 apiece, the YTF pieces are pretty big as well. Our favourites are the fried fish paste, soup dumplings and fried stuffed tofu.
The Chee Cheong Fun is a bit of a mixed bag for us – it could use a touch more sesame oil, and we prefer the sweet sauce over the curry gravy.
