[Non-halal] Hamsap crabs, anyone?
Located in Aman Suria, Crab Meet offers a comfortable space for friends and family to enjoy fresh crabs and other seafood dishes. This place is usually packed (we live nearby) during dinner, so we suggest for you to make reservations to avoid disappointment.
As part of the Tak Fok HK Group, seafood is assuredly fresh and well-prepared. Tak Fok is particularly known for its delicious and reasonably-priced crabs with branches in Kepong, SS2, and Puchong.
Lovely creamy hamsap sauce
Back to Crab Meet. We were recommened to try their off-the-menu item – Hamsap Crabs. Priced at RM78 for two M size crabs (400g each), Hamsap Crabs are essentially salted egg + butter crabs.
Sounds lavish and delicious? Yes and yes! Imagine rich and fatty salted egg flavours made more decadent with creamy buttery sauce.
Dry butter crabs
While not as juicy as one we had in Port Klang, the Dry Butter Crabs were fresh and succulent. But the Spicy Sour Crabs were best for dipping with mantous.
They offer Indonesian mud crabs in three sizes here (M, L and XXL) priced from RM58-98. See the menu at the end of this post for prices as well as the different styles of cooking the crustaceans.

Bihun lala Broccoli egg and crab meat
The Superior Soup Lala here (RM38 for large) is a standout – generous amount of wine, garlic and ginger with fresh clams. But we noted the addition of dung kwai/yuk chuk to elevate the soup further.
Superior soup lala
We found the Bihun Lala to be pretty standard, and would probably skip the Broccoli Egg and Crab Meat the next time we are here.
The Beef and Lamb Skewers were good as starters while waiting for the hamsap crabs.
Overall, we would say the crabs here are pretty fresh and good for the price. And we recommend the superior soup lala as well.
