Go Port Klang, eat fresh crabs! WE visited FK Hailam Seafood Restaurant in Port Klang.
We have fond memories of this place. When we first came here 8-10 years ago – our friend had a flat tyre after going through a pothole! But it was so worth it as we had the juiciest and freshest crabs of our lives!

Since then, we always wanted to come back – but we kept forgetting the name of the restaurant. Last month, I finally found this place, and here we are again!
FK Hailam’s signature BBQ Crabs
We ordered their Signature BBQ Crabs (RM85 for two crustaceans). The mud crabs were BBQ-ed with only soy sauce (and possibly some salt). We absolutely loved the minimal seasoning as the natural sweetness of the crab meat comes to the fore.
In fact, the best part of the experience was to crack open the claw to find natural juice oozing out. So, was it as good as we remember it to be? YES!
Meat was naturally juicy, tender and fresh. The only difference – we had super XXL crabs 10 years ago. But these two crabs were sufficient for the two of us.
Lala Beehoon
The Lala Beehoon (RM8) was tasty but the clams were super tiny. But for that price, we can’t really complain much.
We want to return (with a bigger group) to try their other seafood dishes. If you plan to come here, note that the road leading to the restaurant have potholes (it is near the port after all), so be careful when driving at night.
As it is located next to the sea (and on stilts), we enjoyed the natural breeze from the sea. Do call to make reservations.
