[No pork, no lard] There’s a new spot in town for British fish and chippers!
Newly opened in Wisma Cosway, Lad & Fry offers British-style fish and chips. This spot is run by Manchester-born Tony in partnership with Keith who founded Lad & Dad gastropub in Singapore.
Lad & Fry in Wisma Cosway
This spot currently offers a set lunch menu – which comprises battered sea perch fillet, mushy peas, and thick-cut US potato chips – for RM38.80.
The set comes with a side and bottomless lemon juice. The perch is sweet, moist and meaty. Batter is light and crispy. The chips were also soft in the middle with the perfect crisp exterior.
Lad & Fry is popular during weekday lunches
It’s very popular now during weekday lunches. So be prepared to wait for a table.
No pork and lard are used here, but there’s craft beers for pairing.
