The Eve Old Klang Road – Ipoh Hor Fun-Inspired Ramen & Fusion Chinese Dishes
[Pork-free] Have you tried Ipoh hor fun-style ramen?
The Eve 除夕小館 offers a modern spin on familiar Chinese flavours, reimagining classics with a contemporary twist. Located above Le Pont Boulangerie, The Eve is currently running a pop-up menu featuring fusion dishes such as Pankor Curry Satay Halibut Rice and Cold Tsuyu Somen.

East meets East – Hor Fun Ramen

We were here primarily for the Ipoh Hor Fun-inspired Tori Paitan Ramen (RM24). Think a creamy Japanese chicken paitan broth layered with a subtle prawn umami, reminiscent of a good bowl of Ipoh hor fun.

We would have preferred a touch more seasoning – perhaps a bit more salt or that signature rock sugar sweetness to round things out – but the broth still works well with the tender sous vide chicken, prawns, and thin ramen.

Those in the mood for rice can opt for the Fragrant Oil Poached Chicken Rice (RM20).The chicken leg is poached till tender and served over rice, finished with aromatic ginger oil and a marinated egg.
