Bamboo Kopi OUG -A new spot for Kai Si Hor Fun
[Non-halal] Bamboo Kopi in OUG is a new spot for a satisfying bowl of kai si hor fun, served with a robust prawn broth and tender chicken.
Kai Si Hor Fun features smooth noodles

Priced at RM10 per bowl, the kai si hor fun features a clear yet deeply flavourful broth—thanks to a generous amount of prawn heads and chicken bones simmered for over 10 hours.

The prawns are fresh and naturally sweet, while the noodles are authentically Ipoh-style: smooth, silky, and slippery.
Chicken from Penang, sprouts from Ipoh

The free-range poached chicken, sourced from Bukit Mertajam, is tender and subtly sweet, dressed in a light soy-scallion oil sauce that complements without overpowering. The Ipoh-mali bean sprouts are plump, juicy, and satisfyingly crunchy.

Bamboo Kopi also serves curry noodles using the hor fun broth as base, as well as Hainanese chicken rice.
Bamboo Kopi is a worthy addition to the OUG neighbourhood.
