[Pork-free] Sal’s KL is a new sandwich shop located on the ground floor of Ilham Tower.
Sharing the space with Softe (known for its soft serve – see our previous post here), Sal’s serves a range of sandwiches aimed at the office crowd and residents in the area.
Sandwiches and more at Sal’s KL

The menu revolves around two signature sandwiches. The Reuben (RM38) is Sal’s modern take on the American classic, featuring house-made pastrami, cheddar, mustard and sauerkraut tucked inside its signature Hero Roll.
What’s a Hero Roll? Think of a bun that’s buttery like a brioche yet chewy like a baguette.
The other signature Hero Roll is the Banh Mi (RM25), filled with duck mortadella, pâté and crispy shallots.

Our pick, however, was the “Shawarma” (RM25). Packed with dukkah-spiced roast chicken, labneh, pickled onions and chicken cracklings, it delivered plenty of flavour and texture in every bite.

We also enjoyed the All-Day Breakfast Sub (RM25), which swaps the Hero Roll for a croissant. The crispy, flaky pastry was the perfect vessel for the beef longaniza sausage (think beef Spam), soufflé egg and potato rösti.

Non-bread fiends will find other options such as Spaghetti & Meatballs and Peruvian Chicken Rice on the menu.
Fans of Softe will also be pleased to know that its madeleines and soft serve are still available here. We’re especially fond of the banana soft serve.
