OMG, the weather has been crazy hot lately!
We don’t know about you, but the scorching weather just makes us crave for something cold. Hence, we decided to order some cold brew coffee.
We really enjoyed these from Underscore Coffee. We bought the Taster Set (RM55), which allowed us to sample each of the four cold brew types on offer. We’ve always enjoyed their cold brews – but this is the first time we bought the entire set.
Thoughts on each brew
Here are our thoughts on each brew:
Classic Black – This brew is very smooth and light. It has a mild sweetness, making it very easy to drink.
So Black – A significant step-up from the classic black, this was more fruity and aromatic. It was very juicy with berry-like sweetness. We like!
Classic White – This white brew is mildly sweet with a hint of bitterness. Think Neslo, but with less sugar and a more delicate coffee flavour.
Superstrong White – Compared to the classic white, this brew has a fuller and more complex taste profile. It has a more prominent and vibrant mouthfeel. It’s creamy and rich – think “kopi kau” but with a more distinctive coffee taste.
As regular coffee drinkers, we definitely prefer the So Black and Superstrong White brews. They had more complex tasting profiles, and we really appreciated the nuances of each brew.
