Kam Heong Braised Duck, Kota Damansara
[Non-halal] Kam Heong Braised Duck in PJ New Town has been one of our favourite spots for Teochew braised duck. So we were quite excited when it opened a new branch closer to home.
This second branch is located in Kota Damansara, and features a more comfortable space with air-conditioning.
When we first tried it during the initial months, we did find a slight variation of quality vs. the OG in New Town (see our post here).
However, it has since improved over time – and we now think it is as good as the one in New Town! (Good to save petrol in this economy).
What we order at Kam Heong
Our go-to dishes are:
1. Braised Duck Breast (RM22 for small) – Tender duck, not gamey, viscous gravy, enough to feed two pax comfortably.
2. Braised Egg (RM1.50)
3. Braised Tofu (RM3.50) – Firm and fresh
4. Salted Veggie (RM4) – Braised to lovely tenderness with bits of pork lard.
5. Fragrant Oil Rice (RM2)
6. Keow Teow Kia (RM3.50) – Slippery noodles with nice herbally broth. 
Don’t forget to get the chilli condiment for added kick.
