[Pork-free] What is old is new.
Light Capture Café by H.Ö.N transforms an old, abandoned building into a NY-style loft space.
Fire-licked walls and bare beams are frozen in time – as light streams to illuminate your coffee and conversations.

Space is lovely but service still needs fine-tuning – one of our dishes arrived 50 mins late and there was a mix-up with our bill. Understandably so – as kitchen and management are still trying to get into the swing of things following the soft launch on 1 Oct. Hopefully, these will improve in the coming months.

Pan-freid chicken alfredo
Beef arrabiata
Seafood aglio e olio
Menu is also limited but we did enjoy our pasta dishes – Pan-seared Chicken Spaghetti Alfredo (RM26), Beef Arrabiata (RM24) and Seafood Aglio E Olio (RM35). No complaints in terms of taste and portion but they were a bit heavy-handed on the chilli for my aglio e olio (the one that came late).
The burnt cheesecake (RM19) was moist and creamy, and coffee’s nice.

![[Muslim-owned] Sang Kout Cafe is a quaint little cafe located in Pekan Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur. ☕️🍃
This cafe was a lovely find for us as Pekan Sungai Besi felt like a town untouched by time with its two-lane streets, pre-WW2 shoplots, central wet market and old shops. 🏬
In some ways, Pekan Sungai Besi reminded us of the central town areas in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor and Bidor, Perak.
Pekan Sungai Besi used to be the central hub of mining activities ⛏ back in the days - and is only a 20-minute drive from the KL city centre.
We were here on the second day of CNY to take a break from the Chinese food and festivities. 🧧🧧
Thanks to the lovely weather, we had a good time savouring the Pandan Gula Melaka Cake (RM11.90) and Latte (RM7) as we surveyed the streets from the al-fresco seating area.
I supposed the cafe name is accurate, as we found ourselves "tersangkut" in time as we were transported to the Old Malaya days.
