[Pork-free] Formerly known as Bentong Tau Fu Sdn Bhd, Tauhu Auntie Mok is known for their tau foo fah (soy pudding) and tofu puffs.
We ordered two bowls of Tau Foo Fah (RM2 each) – one with ginger syrup, and one with clear syrup.
Tau foo fah with clear syrup
The soy pudding was perfectly soft and smooth – as good as the ones in Ipoh. .As expected, the ginger syrup is very fragrant with a nice spicy kick – it is after all, home to the famous Bentong ginger.
Besides tau foo fah, the shop also sells Tofu Puffs (taufu pok). People from out of town actually call in advance to buy this in bulk!
We managed to snag a packet (before it was sold out), which we used to make prawn tofu puffs (find our recipe here).
Seats are limited – so be prepared to stand and eat on weekends. Hence, we recommend weekday visits!
