Bazaar Ramadhan TTDI
Bazaar Ramadhan TTDI is one of the most popular Ramadhan markets in Malaysia.
During the month of Ramadhan, food bazaars such as this would pop up throughout the fasting month.
Among the many bazaars across the country, Bazaar Ramadhan TTDI is often highlighted on social media due to its mix of classic buka puasa offerings (Nasi Briyani, Nasi Kerabu, Murtabak) and new “viral” products such as Mac n Cheese and Nasi Goreng Wagyu.
Bazaar Ramadhan TTDI
The bazaar is located within the popular commercial square in TTDI.
While the bazaar is opened daily from 3pm onwards, it gets especially packed and busy after 5pm, and towards the sunset when Muslims break fast.
As we were still on a break, we decided to visit the bazaar at 3pm Wednesday.
Parking was easy at this hour, and most of the vendors were already set up.
Cempedak Goreng and Keropok Lekor
As we had just finished lunch at the popular Kapitan Tandoori House nearby (post coming soon), we decided to just get three of our favourite snacks from Bazaar Ramadhan TTDI.
The Cempedak Goreng (RM10 seven fritters) were especially enticing – so we couldn’t help ourselves. We enjoyed them as the fruit was already ripe and sweet. They were not greasy too.
We also enjoyed the Keropok Lekor (RM3 for 10) which had enough fish in the batter, although it was on the saltier side.
Tepung Pelita Paya Jaras
We were epecially excited to try the Tepung Pelita from Paya Jaras (RM5 for five) as we heard great things about this.
These did not disappoint as they were fragrant (enough santan and pandan taste) with a lovely soft and creamy texture. The savoury hit of the white layer blended well with the pandan sweetness of the green layer.
