[Non-halal] Wan Dee Thai Cuisine is a hidden gem in Damansara Uptown.
Located just next to Lai Foong Lala Noodle, Wan Dee Thai Cuisine serves authentic Thai dishes in a comfortable setting.
Helmed by a team from Hatyai, Wan Dee offers delicious Thai dishes such as Tom Yam, BBQ pork, Som Tam, and Pad Kra Pao at reasonable prices.

In true Thai hospitality, the staff here (they even have certification from the Thai ministry) were super attentive and friendly from the moment we stepped into the restaurant.
BBQ Pork and Pad Kra Pao
The BBQ Pork (RM25.90) is one of our favourite orders here.
These pork slices were BBQ-ed to perfect tenderness, and beautifully marinated with a sweet-savoury sauce. The accompanying condiment is nutty, spicy with a nice hint of fish sauce acidity.
The Pad Kra Pao (Stir-fry meat with Holy Basil) for RM19.90 can be cooked with your choice of chicken, pork or beef.
We enjoyed Wan Dee’s version as it has a strong basil fragrance with a nice savoury hit and a bit of heat.
The Thai-style stir-fry Kangkung (RM28.90) was also very appetising as the water spinach has a nice crunch, with lovely flavours of garlic, fish oil and cut chilli.
Heat up with Tom Yam, cool down with Red Ruby
The Clear Tom Yam Squid Soup (RM28.90) has a heat that builds up quite quickly but remains quite bearable throughout the meal. They were pretty generous with the squid portion as well.
We also recommend the Red Ruby dessert to cool off at the end of the meal. It has just the right hit of Gula Melaka to complement the water chestnuts and sliced jackfruit.
